About the Project

The Market-up project was funded under the European Commission's 7th Framework Programme for research and technological development. Its core mission was to assess and improve the market take-up of research results in the transport sector, with a particular focus on innovative clusters and the role of EU funding.

The project examined seven cases across the transport domain, including work on electromobility. Partners collaborated to produce public deliverables, policy recommendations, and case studies aimed at bridging the gap between research outcomes and real-world deployment.

Key Activities

  • Assessment of seven transport-sector innovation cases
  • Development of policy recommendations for market uptake
  • Publication of case studies and showcase reports
  • Review workshops with stakeholders and partners
  • Dissemination through newsletters, social media, and conferences

Project Resources

Several public deliverables and downloads were made available during the project's active period, including an Executive Summary, case-study documentation, and periodic newsletters. The final newsletter was issued in September 2012, marking the conclusion of the project's dissemination activities.

Partners & Framework

The project operated within the European Commission's transport research ecosystem. Related initiatives included the Advisory Council for Aeronautics Research in Europe (ACARE) and other European Technology Platforms. The European Commission's transport research portal provided the broader policy context for the work.

Project coordination involved Innova Spa, and findings were presented at events including the Transport Research Arena (TRA) conference.
